As you see in the picture below it is fan art of a drawing of Spider-Man I did years ago and colored using Adobe Photoshop CS5. Now I posted this picture on all my social media accounts and also on my old blog page kandkart. I also tried posting on redbubble, eBay, Deviantart, and tried selling it on a few of them on redbubble. It didn’t work out too well. I got an email from Marvel telling me they had it removed because of copyright issues. They only gave me a warning but I was only trying to sell it on a shirt. I created the drawing but of course since it is owned property of Marvel without any legal contract. The problem with that is they will always want a small or half percent of the profit. If you are really trying to start from the ground up you do get recognized for drawing fan art for DC Comics, Marvel, Disney, and Anime, because everyone knows it and they are fan favorites and you will get more likes and traffic from it. Once I post fan art I typically get a lot of views. In a later post, I will post on copyright laws and protections. Fan Art can be good to get noticed but just remember it’s not yours and you can’t take credit or sell this piece without permission from the company or artist.
